Bicycle chain lubricants are made for a chain that runs open, in dust and water, on a bike that is cleaned by hand. Wet lubes stay on in rain and last longer; dry lubes attract less dust and suit dry conditions, which in the Gulf is most of the year. E-bikes put more torque through the chain and wear it faster, so a durable lube and regular cleaning matter more.
