The kinds of product food grade plants and operators buy. Each page says what the product is, how to choose a grade, and lists the grades we hold from every maker.
NSF H1 lubricants for food, beverage and packaging plants.
A food-grade lubricant is formulated and registered for machinery where contact with the product cannot be completely ruled out — a gearbox above an open conveyor, a hydraulic line on a filling machine, a chain running through an oven. LUBE-tech supplies them in Dubai and across the UAE and Oman from FUCHS CASSIDA, TotalEnergies Nevastane, Castrol Optileb, Mobil, RIVOLTA F.L. and F.L.G., and Nye.
The grades are listed below by the job they do. If your auditor has asked for a specific registration or certificate, tell us the grade and we will send the documentation with the quotation.
The registrations, briefly
- NSF H1
- For use where incidental contact with food is possible. This is the category most plants standardise on for everything above or near the product line.
- NSF H2
- For machinery where there is no possibility of contact with food. Common in areas away from the line.
- NSF 3H
- Release agents that may touch food directly — on grills, bread pans, cutting blades and the like.
- NSF HT1
- Heat transfer fluids where incidental contact is possible. The Nevastane range includes an NSF HT1 antifreeze for cooling circuits.
- ISO 21469
- Certifies the hygiene of how a lubricant is manufactured, on top of what it is made of. The Nevastane brochure lists ISO 21469, Kosher and Halal status grade by grade.
